1) IS THE SERVICE YOU OFFER DOOR TO DOOR?

Yes, it is a door-to-door moving service that we provide.

2) IS THERE A MINIMUM RATE?

Yes, local moves will be subject to a minimum of four hours of labour charge. Once the minimum of hours has been reached, billing is done in quarter hour increments.

3) WHAT IS TRAVEL TIME?

Travel time is a flat rate based on the average driving time between our office and your pickup address and from the end location back to our office. Travel time does not include driving between the pickup and drop off locations and will be charged additionally at the completion of your move.

4) WHEN IS PAYMENT REQUIRED?

Payment is due prior to the moving truck being unloaded and will be processed by the foreman of the crew.

5) WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all major credit cards, cash and personal and company cheques are accepted with a credit card number on file for security purposes. All deposits will be deducted from the final bill. Please provide method of payment prior to the moving day.

6) DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

For seniors and students, we provide a 10% discount (student ID is required). For mid- month moves, we provide a per hour rate discount. Please contact BCs BEST MOVE for more information.

7) HOW DO YOU PROTECT THE FURNITURE?

All the furniture is professionally wrapped with special thick moving blankets & shrink-wrap (this service is included in the moving cost).

8) DO YOU OFFER A PACKING SERVICE?

We offer a full packing service to help relieve some of the packing stress. Please contact us for further details. For the most cost-efficient move, we recommend being completely packed and prepared prior to the movers' arrival.

9) DO YOU SELL PACKING MATERIALS?

BCs BEST MOVE will supply you with whatever you need to get the job done. Any size of box from 1.5cu to china barrel, mirror cartons and wardrobe boxes. Packing paper, bubble wrap, tape and shrink wrap.

10) DO YOU PROVIDE CLEANING SERVICES?

Yes, BCs BEST MOVE offers a full cleaning service. If you are completing a move with BCs BEST MOVE, ask how you can save money using our cleaning services.

11) ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, BCs BEST MOVE is insured. You have basic coverage, which is included in the hourly rate. If an item was to get damaged you would be covered up to $500 with a $100 deductible. We also sell Full Coverage insurance at a cost of $3.00 per $1000 of worth. For example if the carried load had a worth of $10000 it would cost you $30 to be fully covered.

12) DO YOU OWN YOUR TRUCKS?

Yes, all of the trucks used are owned and operated by BCs BEST MOVE. Our trucks are fairly new with extended boxes and hydraulic lifts at the back. We reserve the right to send a rented truck in the case of a breakdown.

13) WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE A MOVE?

As soon as you realize there may be a conflict with the moving date, please contact BCs BEST MOVE to arrange for a new moving date and time. A $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged if we are notified in less than 3 days prior to the scheduled moving date.

14) HOW SOON CAN I SCHEDULE MY MOVE?

We prefer to be contacted at least 15 days prior to the moving date, to make the necessary arrangements. We will do our very best to work with you on booking any last minute requests based on our availability for the date and time of your interest.

15) WHAT TIME WILL THE MOVING CREWS ARRIVE?

BCs BEST MOVE begin scheduling pickups at 8:00 A.M. and continue through the day as necessary. We will contact you a business day prior to your move date to confirm the time of arrival. Due to unforeseen circumstances or traffic, morning arrivals are subject to a 1 hour delay, while afternoon arrivals are subject to a 1 to 2 hour delay. We will keep you informed of any changes.

16) DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR STAIRS?

Extra charges for stairs may apply pending the layout of the pickup and delivery location. Please contact us with additional details of the location for a more specific estimation.

17) DO I NEED TO BE AVAILABLE DURING THE PICKUP?

Yes, we recommend that you are present to identify which items are being moved, items that require special handling, and to answer any questions that we may have. Most importantly, you must be present at pickup and delivery to assist in the Inventory Process. The Inventory List involves the pickup crew preparing an inventory list of all items being loaded on to the truck and noting present conditions. It is required the Inventory List be signed, agreeing (or refuting in writing on the document) with the conditions noted by the crew concerning all items loaded on to the truck. Upon delivery, you are asked to participate in checking off unloaded items to ensure nothing has been missed. Participation in this process is critical to any claim resolution you may have after the move. If you absolutely cannot be present, we recommend that someone who is familiar with your household goods represent you.

18) DO YOU TIP YOUR MOVERS?

Tipping is often customary in most labour or service industries. Any tip that is provided is divided equally among the moving crew. The average tip is somewhere around 5%-10% per crew member.
